FOR EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE, DIAL 9-1-1

You can also reach the OPP by calling 1 888 310-1122 (toll-free in Ontario). Our Provincial Communications Centres operate 24/7, answering emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Many less serious incidents can be reported online.

The OPP is committed to the health and safety of its members. We are taking steps to help reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 by restricting access to our facilities, including detachments. OPP facilities remain open during regular operating hours, with enhanced screening. Detachment phone numbers and email addresses are available at opp.ca/detachments.

Intimate Partner Violence

Intimate partner abuse/violence involves the use of physical, psychological or sexual force, actual or threatened, in an intimate relationship.

The OPP would like to remind the public of support agencies that remain committed to delivering services to those who need it. If you or your children are experiencing intimate partner abuse or violence, you are not alone. There is help available for you. Telephone services (crisis lines) are available for free, 24 hours a day, to listen and help you make decisions to keep you and your family safe.

Avoid Scammers

It’s important to give and to receive help during challenging times such as COVID-19, but can you trust just anyone? Be mindful when accepting offers for help.

If you receive a call from a business or government agency asking you for money or personal information, hang up, do research and talk to those you trust. Cybercriminals are capitalizing on public concern about the COVID-19 outbreak with increasing numbers of phishing attacks through email, text message and telephone.

If you are the victim of a scam, it’s crucial to report it to both the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre and the OPP.
